Natural Breastfeeding Program (Included in VALUE & DELUXE Tickets)

3 recent studies reveal why many new parents will benefit from extra education and resources around breastfeeding. issues.

  • One found that more than 2/3 of women intending to breastfeed exclusively for 3 months didn’t get there.

  • Another found that the most common reasons women give up on breastfeeding are latching issues, worries about milk production and nipple pain.

  • And the third found that during the first week of life, 92% of nursing mothers reported significant breastfeeding challenges.

Natural Breastfeeding is a home study course broken down into 6 modules that will teach you:

  • Breastfeeding doesn’t have to be painful and it shouldn’t be!

  • The 40 day blueprint to maximize milk production and help you meet your long term goals including returning to work.

  • How to relax while breastfeeding so you don’t have to choose between getting your rest and feeding your baby.

  • How to prepare your home environment for safety and convenience.

  • When you need to get help and where to find it.

  • The most common reasons breastfeeding derails.

A message from Amy Blain, your Evidence Based Birth® Instructor

What clients are saying...

Too many new parents have shared with me that even though they had learned a lot about labor & birth in a childbirth class, they still felt disappointed or frustrated by their birth experience. Some say as soon as they entered the hospital, everything they learned 'flew out the window'.

This feedback has helped me recognize a problem:  Knowing a lot about birth doesn't necessarily prepare you to navigate our imperfect healthcare system or communicate your values and priorities when birth is actually happening.

The Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class offers a solution to this problem! It provides an education about what is evidence based care during labor & birth, strategies for staying comfortable, AND advocacy skills – a wholistic approach assuring couples are confident and truly prepared for their upcoming birth experience.

Can't I just educate myself using search engines and videos?

Unfortunately, it is hard to know if the information you find on the internet is current or complete or even accurate. One benefit of the Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class is that they are continually  curating and incorporating all of the best, evidence-based information for you. The learning modules are easily updated guaranteeing that the information offered is never out of date.

Shouldn’t I just let the doctors and nurses tell me what to do?

Routine practices in some hospitals can be 15 to 20 years behind the latest research, and there sometimes is a lot of pressure to conform to traditions that might not be in a birthing person's best interest. We will teach you and your partner how to ask the right questions and be your own advocate—a skill you can use for the rest of your life!

My friends told me that taking a childbirth class is a waste of time.

Unfortunately there are poor-quality classes out there that are boring or seem out of date and these can give childbirth education a bad reputation. The Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Classes have been designed intentionally to make the classes engaging & relevant for this generation of new parents. The end result is a class that is motivating and FUN to participate in. You will learn more than you could ever imagine!

What will I actually learn in this class that could be of use to me?

Our students are most excited to learn about the entire toolkit of comfort measures for labor. We cover pain management techniques like massage, water immersion, upright birthing positions, acupressure, music therapy, and deep breathing, just to name a few. When labor starts, you and your partner will be ready!
